small Unmanned Aerial System (Drone) Photography
The dual technologies of drone maneuverability and photographic sensor development have enabled imaging that was previously impossible. There are few architectural projects that don't benefit from a shot or two of the unique viewpoints provided by the drone. And the image quality of the current 20 megapixel sensors is remarkable.
For large sites, a fixed-wing aircraft is probably still the best solution. But if you're illustrating design and materials, it certainly helps to have a great big tripod.
